Survival Guide to A Worse-Case Scenario Week 5

5 weeks down, 1 to go, this has been our longest series of the year but definitely one of the best. It’s been interesting to see the momentum in the program build, see the students change their thinking and to see our ministers become more efficient in what they do.
One thing we’ve tossed back and forth as a staff is doing longer series in the future. We typically do a 4 week series; however, we find that by doing a 6 week or even 8 week series gives us more margin, allows us to build momentum and really drive home God’s love.
Tonight was good because we were able to lighten things up. We talked about the wounds we hold in our heart (I know it sounds heavy), but how there is hope for healing in Jesus Christ. I’m driven to help students know that Christ is there to heal them; however, I’m not always sure how to get them that message. There are so many great programs at Nativity that do that; however, I sometimes feel as if I need to do more.
