A Letter to the Students

I want to write this to all the students in Baltimore County who begin school today.

Dear Students,
I’m sure when mom, dad or your alarm woke you up this morning you felt a lack of enthusiasm, a little reluctance and a wish that summer hadn’t flown by so quick. I’m sorry if you feel that way, but I know this year is going to be a great year for you. I’m not promising that you’ll ace your classes, make varsity, win awards or find that special someone, but I know God is working in your lives and if you allow Him, He will do great things through you.
There will be days that seem like you are on top of the world and other days that feel like you’ve been hit by a car, but regardless of how you feel, know that God loves you and He is with you every step of the way. I hope that you join us this year in Ascent, Resurrection and Uprising, I hope that you join a small group and even a ministry because these can act as constant reminders that no matter what, with God things will be okay.
So as you deal with homework, mundane classes, tryouts, bullies, relationships and peer pressure know that God loves you, He is proud of you and He is always there… and just in case you forget we at Church of the Nativity will remind you. You are in our prayers constantly.
Peace and God Bless,
Chris Wesley
Director of Student Ministries
