I had my adult small group last night and we went off topic. A lot of the group was missing so it ended up just being dinner and fellowship. One of our small group members is actively helping out with the stewardship series that big church is going to do later in the fall. I know he’s going to have a great impact and offer some great advice especially for those of us in our 20’s and 30’s. Doing a stewardship series is something that this church has focused on for the last few years and it started out as just talking about money but now it’s turned into helping others manage their money.
This year we’re taking a more active stance with the students. I was able to find material from
Dave Ramsey that is going to help us put more application into our message series. I don’t want the students to walk away just knowing that God is more powerful than money, I want them walking away with a plan. I want them walking away confident in God with their present and future finances. This is exciting for me, because it’s something I wish I knew and valued more when I was younger, I’m excited for them.
