Manly Children

Had a conversation with Tom (Associate to the Pastor) today about the Children’s program. It is definitely evident that Kristin (Time Travelers), Lisa (All Stars) and Sue (Rel. Ed) have done a great job of upping the level of children’s programming. While the programs seem to be doing well, the one thing that has become the small presence of adult men in the children’s program. This is not a criticism towards the ministry leadership, in fact the thing Tom and I were discussing is we don’t know what it really is that is holding men back from serving in the children’s ministry. I personally believe that if you can get boys to look up to the right men, you’ll have created a priceless foundation that cannot be beat. I’m always trying to recruit people for youth ministry, but I’m thinking I should take the time to recruit men for children’s ministry.
