What My Father-In Law Taught Me

Woke up and came to a ministry leader meeting and this is what I learned about ministry teams:
Read Exodus 18:
Jethro tells Moses look for people who are:

  • Able – People who have the wisdom and capability to make the decisions.
  • God Fearing – People who have a heart after God. Who want to please the Lord and have the courage to do what God is asking them to do.
  • Trustworthy & Hate Dishonest Gain – Want to lead for God, no other reason, but for God. A servant’s heart.
6 Characteristics of a Leader:
Vision
Heart for God
Servant Leader
Courageous
Trustworthy
Integrity

Why do we develop ministry leaders? Having ministry leaders share the burden with us and they help us lead more people to where God is calling them.
