Tonight was fun, that’s probably the best way to describe it. I was so unbelievably stressed beforehand, but once the night started it was just like breathing. Teens came and had fun, adults interacted and met some of the new students, music was incredible, everything went smoothly.
All the worries about moving it away from Sunday, all the worries of putting it on a Thursday, all the worries about taking on too much are now gone. Probably one of the biggest wins comes from a student who asked, “Does this happen every week?”, I responded, “Yes, is that a good thing?” and she replied, “Yes this is great.”
I don’t know if this is just week 1 highs or just feeling God’s blessings (it’s probably both), but when you have an experience like this, it’s probably best to observe the systems that you brought into the night. Don’t over analyze them, don’t take them for granted, just observe them.
