I was out of town last weekend as most know by now and it was great to see the ministers just handle the weekend with such ease. One of the things that really worked for me was seeing Tom Corcoran step in and give the message. Looking back at this year it was nice to see that it wasn’t just my voice that was heard at program but that Kristin, Billy and Tom all had a chance to speak to the students.
Next year it will be good to plan a lot of this in advance and maybe see if I can plan a different speaker than myself for each series. I don’t need the break but two reasons why having different speakers for the students would be good are:
1. It gives the students a different perspective on the faith.
2. It allows me to focus on other aspects of the program if someone else is speaking.
Just have to figure out the series and hopefully can get that squared away this summer.
