Calming Down

We are almost to our third weekend of programming and believe it or not things appear to be calming down. I’m in Rochester for a wedding this weekend; therefore, the program will be going on with out me. Billy is going to give a message, Kristin is running the game, Bob and Erik have worship and Hart has the 15 minute countdown. I’ve got a good team in place for Resurrection and Uprising. Ascent has some good leaders as well, just a little nervous because three of us will be absent this weekend…but no worries, the ministry base is growing there and the ministers I have are motivated and excited. God’s really blessed this place.
Although things are calming down there is a sense of urgency and need to perfect the program. I have some great ministers, who’ve reminded me all we have to do is serve God with an open heart. But, the feeling of urgency comes from the fact that I haven’t given myself enough margin. I don’t know if it’s from over scheduling my time or raising high expectations for myself. Either way, I’m hoping this weekend away allows me to rest, reflect and spend some time with the Lord.
