Review of Week 1 of How to Glow in the Dark

We got started after a week away due to the Thanksgiving holiday, things were a little rusty but for the most part it was great to have everyone back. In the first week of our series How to Glow in the Dark we focused on the 2nd chapter of Philippians where Paul is explaining when people unite with Christ-like attitudes they spread God’s joy which is like a light that pierces through the darkness. At the beginning the students were a little restless, but they then got to a point where they were really engaged. Not that this is a surprise, but it seems to be that they are resonating with the message.
It was cool because a parent shared with me this week how excited her daughter was to bust open a bible at Resurrection, it just shows that Christianity is still relevant and engaging. The problem comes with how we present it at times.
