Expectations

We completed the third week of our message series MapMyFaith, next week small groups start. It’s been an interesting experience because I know the culture of Uprising is going to change with the addition of small groups (in the past they were on separate nights). I’m hoping that each program compliments one another yet maintains their own identity. It’s important that Thursday nights do not become a hodgepodge of purposes and programs. To prevent that it needs to grow horizontally (meaning in size of attendees) and vertically (in depth/health). How we measure the growth will be a little hard but it will deal with the friends students are inviting, whether or not they are from other churches, believers with no homes or non believers. It was also deal with how many students take the next step in their faith journey, such as joining a ministry or taking more of a leadership role.
Next week will be exciting and we’ll just have to see how it goes.
