It’s the day of the first Uprising, I’ll try to blog about it tonight after it’s done. Right now, it’s all about checking down the list the last minute details. It’s a little cloudy, but we have a rain plan, my voice is feeling good, the building just needs to be set-up but I’m excited, this will be fun. It’s definitely a turnaround from yesterday.
Last night I met with a few leaders who are helping out on the weekend as the entire church kicks off the fall season. It was a crazy meeting and I realized God had blessed me with true student ministers. They had a hard time paying attention, most of them were late to the meeting, they did not hesitate to make fun of me as I spoke and some got up to look at “cool stuff” before I was even done talking. It was priceless, but I’m serious about being blessed to have those ministers because they know how to laugh, bond and be themselves. I know the students that meet these ministers will feel as blessed as I do.
