Bearing Fruit

Tonight was realy good, it was filled with major wins and I can’t tell you all how proud of my ministers and students I truly am. I don’t know maybe I’m just in a good mood but it feels as if the work that everyone has put in is really starting to bear good fruit.
We had just finished up Uprising (high school program) and a few of the ministers and staff (Lucas and Brian) were sitting around talking, when Lauren Krukiel (student leader) and a friend came up to say hey. Lauren’s friend is from the neighborhood, had been to Nativity before, but didn’t know Uprising existed…needless to say she loved it. She said, “This was something she had been looking for and it was great to find a church that was willing to talk about issues teens could relate to.” The words she was using was such a confirmation from God that what we are doing in the youth ministry is what God wants us to do. So I thank Lauren’s friend Audrey, I thank my ministers, I thank the student leaders and I thank God for bringing such an awesome sign that what we are doing is fruitful.
I just pray that we continue to focus on God and please Him with what we do.
