Wii are Going To Die…eventually

This week has started off slowly… mainly due to the fact that we are recovering from Easter Sunday….and okay a crazy March Madness weekend. But in reality it’s time to get things together especially considering the fact that we will be talking about death to the teens. I’m hoping to approach the subject in a manner that will get them excited and not depressed or scared. As Christians, the ultimate goal is to be with God in the end, but for some reason we fear the reaper. I guess it’s because we sometimes doubt that there is anything better than what we have now.
A couple of the teens came by today because they wanted to have a game day with the large screen in the back. They hooked up a Wii and played Smash Brothers. It was nice just to have them hanging around at the church feeling comfortable. The best part about it was that three of the five teens are regulars and they invited two of their friends, who don’t regularly come. What does that mean? Well, we are reaching our goal of becoming an Irresistible Environment. Tom said something today I think is key to us introducing teens to Christ. Basically what he said is that we need to build up structures that will build us up. It feels as if we’ve been doing that lately.
