People will join a team that’s winning. It’s because winning feels good and is filled with success. If you want people to join your ministry team you need to make sure it’s winning. That means knowing what a winning team looks like.
A winning team:
When people know the, “Why?” to what they do it creates a sense of purpose. It’s a reminder to what’s important and why the struggle is worth it.
Drive the vision home by making it a priority. Share the vision every chance you get. Challenge them to know it and share it with others. Make sure it’s clear.
Goals and milestones break down the journey to the vision. When people are clear on the steps that are need to take they’ll contribute to getting you there quicker.
People will bring new ideas and perspectives. In the end it will make your ministry stronger come up with ideas with fresh perspectives and new insights.
Sharing life change is a reminder of why the vision is important. If you get emails or letters witnessing the impact you are having on peoples lives share them with the team.
It will remind them that they are on the right path. It will show them that everything they are doing is worth it. Thank them for what they do and encourage them to share the stories they come across.
A winning team is a team that knows how to have fun and enjoy the small moments.
Those moments will strengthen the bonds that will help you get through the more stressful times.
You should not be the only one caring for your team. Everyone is responsible for one another. Build a community of believers and not just a group of volunteers.
To get the team investing in one another lead by example. Encourage people to reach out and make sure the team continuously gets to know one another personally.
Your team needs to be emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally healthy in order to win.
The healthier your team the more they will be able endure the hard times.
A winning team knows who is really in control. Remind them to put God first by inviting them to pray with you. Give thanks to God and pray for your team’s success.
If you want to win in ministry you need to make sure you work as a team. Spend your time investing in the people around you. Remind them what’s important and continually bring them back to God.
