I’ve been on vacation, a work camp and attended a wedding in the last two and a half weeks. I can finally sit down and start spinning the wheels for this upcoming year. I want to share with you a couple of things (work and none work) that I’ve reflected on during my time away.
- Games, gadgets and gimmicks are okay but what works in student ministry are relationships.
- In order for people to keep up with what is happening in the student ministry we need to be as clear as possible with our mission statement and process.
- Pennsylvania feels like the longest state to travel through regardless of which way you go.
- Generations are getting smaller, apparently the students are a part of Generation M (media) for now, tomorrow they are something new.
- You can never have too much lobster.
- If you are a middle school boy you can never have too much deodorant (Axe is not deodorant)
- I can survive without technology for a week.
- This is going to be a great year in ministry.
