Hey so sorry this is a little delayed but here is the concluding summary of our trip to the Student Leadership Conference. At the end of day 3 we heard Erin Kerr speak about Evangelism and gave the students 3 things that will liberate your faith and take it from a hidden characteristic to a living organism.

Evangelism Romans 1:16
3 Things that Will Liberate Your Faith
1. Be a Participant in God’s saving process
2. Be Prepared in what you are going to say
3. Be Practical in how you address others

Afterwards Greg Stier author and founder of Dare 2 Share Ministries shared with us 4 things to help us evangelize. He explained to the students that there has always been a stigmatism about evangelist being only people who knock on your doors asking if you’ve been saved. Evangelizing is greater than that and can be done in many different ways. But in order to find your own way Greg offered 4 bits of advice.

4 Things To Have To Help Us Evangelize Our Faith
1. Courage
2. Intense Passion
3. Your Own Style
4. It takes mighty faith

According to Greg the “Biggest losers are the best leaders.”

On Day 4 Saddleback closed up the conference with the importance of fellowship explained by Dee Eastman.

Fellowship

Dee encouraged the students to remember that fellowship is “A Heartfelt Connection.”, your connection with people is the most important thing. In order to remember what fellowship is and how to connect with others the best you have to remember who you are and become all that God Desires. Dee concluded by letting the students know 2 Keys to developing Fellowship. 1) Strengthen by honesy (1 John 5:7) 2) To be committed to connect (1 John 5:12)

Lastly Jim Burns summed up the week by asking the students to remember something he calls the Jesus Creed. So to conclude everything that I learned the one thing that I think is a great way to start your day is to pray this “Creed” derived from Mark 12:30-31

Lord help me to remember to love you with all my heart, mind, soul and strength and to also love my neighbor as I should love myself. Amen
