Restless Mind, Restless Heart

I’m fine but I’m restless, does that make sense? There is a lot going through my mind in regards to what we need to do in order to make sure students really connect and grow in a relationship with Christ. This is a time of year where reflection and review is needed and it’s hard not to be overly critical on what we do and how we do it.
I’m also preoccupied with my own personal faith because it has indeed been a rough few weeks, and I just watched a news story regarding the family murder suicide that happened to a Loyola student this weekend. There is always something happening around us to cause chaos; however, God is with us and even though we shall walk through the valley of darkness we can have peace knowing He is near. The beauty about having a relationship with Jesus Christ is the hope that one day everything will be fine.
I want the students to know that there will be days that may be tough, there may be days where the giants we face are big, where the devil hits us hard, where we don’t feel like walking the right path but God is there, He is bigger and He will carry us, comfort us and heal us.
