These are photos of a middle school boys trip to Old Rag Mountain, Virginia from last weekend. 
The trip was a good time, but the reason it was an awesome experience because it gave one of our small groups of middle school boys the chance to grow in a new way. It’s becoming clear that mission projects, and trips need to happen through the groups. It’s not about freeing up time for me, but I know that the teens will get more out of these events when they do this with people they trust. They will get to meet more people but ultimately go deeper in their relationships with one another.
In a previous blog I talked about more behind the scenes people, helping create opportunities for small groups to serve and go outside the church to have Christian fellowship is definitely one of those positions. Anyway, I’m looking forward to putting that together this summer.
