I had a writing meeting last night and it was the first time we had the big group together. I had met two weeks ago with a few people to put together a system but last night was about making that happen. Overall, I’m pleased, we had some good dialogue going, some passionate opinions and people really put some great ideas out there. We were able to come up with our objective and our application.
When it comes to programming and doing student ministry there are times when either the objection or the application is left out. We tell students what we want them to know but not what we want them to do. Or we tell them what we want them to do but don’t give a sufficient why. For our writing meetings the two questions we try to answer before we leave are:
1. What do we want them to know?
2. What do we want them to do?
