New Year New Plan

So each week I tried to post the message points from all the messages that we were giving to the youth at our parish. But I’ve decided to change the format of this blog to just keep everyone up to date on what’s going on. With the Lenten (Easter) Season approaching I thought it would be appropriate to talk about what we plan on doing for our youth at Church of the Nativity in Timonium, MD.
We are looking to launch our “Irresistible Environment” campaign, where we will be looking to make our Middle School Program “Resurrection” and our High School Program “Uprising” a place where youth feel loved, encouraged and inspired to deepen their faith. While we look at content and create activities, reflections and messages more pertinent to today’s youth culture, the thing we are looking to do is encourage more one on one interaction between adults and youth.
It feels as if every time there is an issue with a youth program, people always look for a quick fix, or some fast idea that’ll come off as hype. This campaign is about investing yourself in Christ like relationships. This is about spreading the Gospel through one on one relationships. The more this gets put together the more excited I get about this campaign. Be sure to check later for updates.
