I love November. On top of my birthday and Thanksgiving it’s got one of my favorite events: THE MATTER CONFERENCE. And registration for Matter 15 (November 5th-6th) is officially open.
Some of you have been the last couple of years and each year we do basically the same thing. We take the tools, resources, and experiences we’ve gathered over the year and share it with the attendees. So, again great content; however, this year there are some incredible additions:
Chris Stefanick is founder of Real Life Catholic. He’s an internationally acclaimed author, and speaker who has a wealth of resources and books that will help any age group grow deeper in their faith. He’s also an endorser of my book Rebuilding Youth Ministry, so let’s say I’m especially excited to have him there.
The past few years we took you late into the night or straight into the weekend without a chance to digest. Again, the conference is a Thursday and Friday; however, Thursday evening is now free for you to collaborate, and reflect with your team. Or, you can take your favorite youth minister out to dinner.
That’s right, not only is there an early bird rate, but a super one as well. While I’m an advocate for financial responsibility, this is one that you can blow the budget on before the financial year ends in July. This is by far one of the best deals out there.
That’s really all I can say about it. And it’s not a selling gimmick, we really do have a pretty big surprised planned and the only way you will know is by going. Sorry.
Over the last year our staff has grown in size and depth. There is a lot that we’ve been tackling and learning. Again, we want to share it with you. This conference is an opportunity for you and everyone who is involved in your parish to be reminded that you are not alone.
It doesn’t matter if you are a volunteer, a member of the parish council, the pastor, a member of parish staff or just a concerned parishioner, we want you here this November. Go to the Matter Conference website at http://matterconference.tv to learn more.
[reminder] Did you attend Matter 13 or 14? What did you get out it? If you are planning on going this year what do you hope to get out of it? [/reminder]
