Introducing Marathon Youth Ministry One-On-One Coaching

There are times when I’m filled with anxiety, questions and concerns.  What’s helped has been the ability to call someone on the phone, and meet with an experienced youth worker.  Now that I’ve been in the field for over a decade it’s a gift that is just as important to give as it is to receive.

I’m excited to officially announce the development of a brand new service called Marathon Youth Ministry Coaching.  MYM Coaching is one-on-one coaching for men and women who have been in the trenches of youth ministry for 5 years or less.  During our time together we would focus on:

CREATING A VISION FOR YOUR MINISTRY

If you don’t have a vision you will find yourself going in circles. To craft your vision statement we’ll look at:

• Where God is calling you.

• The impact it has on your target audience.

• How to get others to buy into the vision.

Once you start developing and solidifying your vision you’ll be able to recruit more people and build a solid program.

DEVELOPING A SUSTAINABLE YOUTH MINISTRY STRUCTURE

Large events can have a big impact; however, they create a lot of work.  The key to growing a strong and healthy youth ministry is creating one with consistency and commitment.  In our coaching we’ll look at maximizing the resources God has given you to build a sustainable and long lasting ministry.

RECRUIT, TRAIN AND EQUIP AN ADULT MINISTRY TEAM

Youth ministry is not meant to be done on your own.  You need men and women who buy into the vision and are committed to your leadership.  During the coaching we’ll talk about how to find and invest in those people.

MANAGE THE BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL

Youth ministry is messy where personal and professional life bleed into one another.  During our time together we’ll look at how to create guardrails so that one area of your life doesn’t resent the other.
