We are about one month into a new season and in reality it’s not new anymore. When we hit this time of the year we begin to get into the groove of doing ministry week in and week out. There’s a little bit more of a comfort in what needs to be done; however, the newness of the ministry for begins to fade. It can feel like the ministry is losing momentum. The temptation is to give up or to try and plan something bigger and better; but, is that really the answer?
While we will always hit busy and slow seasons in ministry, we will always need momentum because it moves us forward. So, as you are coming off a season full of energy or an event that just blew the roof off it’s important to take these three steps:
Whether you like it or not, we all it hit seasons where momentum slows down and that’s because it’s natural. The reason we hit “slumps” in our ministry is because your teens, your ministers and even you will hit periods of competing systems, which will always slow you down. If you make the communication clear and encouraging you can keep the momentum in your ministry.
