Watched this video and found it very insightful, I like when I come across this stuff on other people’s blogs. But Seth Godin asks three questions:
1. Who are we upsetting?
2. Who are we connecting?
3. Who are we leading?
When applying these questions to youth ministry at Nativity we are upsetting the paradigm of how youth ministry “should be”, I think Seth calls it the status quo. Who we are connecting and leading I would say teenagers, but I think we need to be more specific than that, this is where it becomes a large challenge. In Andy Stanley’s book 7 Practices of Effective Ministry he gives good insight on how to answer the last two questions.
