Just got done with the alternate to the alternate Confirmation Retreat. It’s always interesting spending a Saturday with students because it’s a day I think they would all rather have to themselves. I know I wouldn’t mind sleeping in a little bit. The students were really tired this morning and you could see it on their faces that 8:30am on a Saturday is insanely early. The conversations and reflections we had were good but because we were on such familiar ground it was hard for them all to focus. Obviously the situation was not ideal, you never want to plan an alternate to an alternate but that’s what happened this year. I just really want to encourage students and parents to take advantage of the retreat we offer, I understand it’s a big commitment and a lot of unknown, but it’s an experience you really can’t get anywhere else.
