18th Mile

I’m a little tired, didn’t go for a run this morning because I’m tired and the fact that there is a lot of ice on the roads. I’m not really a treadmill person and don’t belong to a gym, so outside is my only option. Right now I’m feeling excited about this series we are in, I’m looking forward to Easter and it’ll be amazing in May when we slow things down for the year.
This time of year is like the 18th mile of a marathon. You are amazed by how far you have come and especially considering there were times where you didn’t think you would make it. You know you have about 8 miles to go, but you’ve made it almost 2/3rd (3/4 maybe) of the way through and that’s something that makes you proud. But we (the youth ministry) are running this race like Ryan Hall and Paula Radcliffe (they are pros), granted we will be tired at the end (May 3rd) but we’ll be so geared up for more.
